Nature in Your Neighborhood Program Underway – Join the Fun!

Jefferson Land Trust’s popular Tidelands to Timberline natural history course was canceled this year due to the stay at home order. Undeterred, a small team of Land Trust staff and dedicated volunteers rose to the challenge to create a new opportunity for our community to learn together online as a supplement to the popular course.
In the new Nature in Your Neighborhood program, our backyards and neighborhoods will become our classrooms. Birds, trees, ferns, and mammals are just a few of the topics we’ll be diving into throughout May and June.
Our weekly explorations will be guided by an experienced naturalist (or two) who’ll kick off our week of learning with a Virtual Nature Walk and then send us out with activities to explore and observe the hidden wonders close to home. In addition, each week the Online Study Group will come together to wrap up and discuss their adventures from the previous week.
The program is free and open to all ages, so you’re welcome to encourage your loved ones to participate with you.
All events will be hosted via Zoom in the Finnriver InCider Space. Links to join will be sent to you via email prior to each event. We’ll also be sharing about our experiences on social media. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to join in on the fun!
